Richard Leacock
Actor

Richard Leacock is an award winning actor who has appeared in film, television and stage. Starting with his first appearance on 21 Jump St, he has a career that has spanned many years. Richard starred on the tv series DOC with Billy Ray Cyrus for 5 seasons. He has also appeared in The X Files, The Dead Zone, Stargate, Saving God with Ving Rhames and the feature film A Boy called Po.

On stage Richard has portrayed Rev Jesse Jackson in the play The Dream Continues, which showcased Martin Luther King’s non violent philosophy and the role of Louis McKay in Lady Sings the Blues. He has appeared in tv series, Good Trouble, and NBC’s Good Girls. He has also appeared in the Paramount TV series Star Trek Picard, the feature Grace and Grit and the recently released feature Desert Shadows. Richard also recently appeared in an episode of Fox’s 911 television series. He's also recently completed principal photography for a short film that he wrote and produced called The Hardway that he starred in with his brother Viv Leacock.

Dr. Michelle Thaller
NASA Goddard Space Flight Center

Dr. Michelle Lynn Thaller is an astronomer and research scientist. Thaller is the assistant director for Science Communication at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. From 1998 to 2009 she was a staff scientist at the Infrared Processing and Analysis Center, and later Manager of the Education and Public Outreach program for the Spitzer Space Telescope, at the California Institute of Technology. She is a frequent on-camera contributor to programming on The History Channel and Science Channel.

Bridget Landry
Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Bridget Landry has worked on robotic space missions for over 30 years, including the Hubble Space Telescope, Mars Pathfinder, the Cassini mission to Saturn and the Curiosity rover. In addition, she has been attending and working cons since she was 13 and is a Master-level costumer with a twisted sense of humor.

She is the Science Guest of Honor at Seattle WorldCon in 2025.

Richard Joel
405 Productions

Richard Joel is President and founder of 405 Productions Inc. He is an Emmy Nominated and Rose D’or award-winning, TV Creator/Writer/Executive Producer and an award-winning Film Producer. He has worked in all areas of production and development and brings a strong business and creative process to all sides of this business. Including Scripted TV / Film as well as the creation of original formats, competition and game shows for the domestic and international markets.

Richard was Head of Alternative TV Development & Production for Wildrice Productions where he created, developed, and sold an array of projects including the original game show format, Heads or Tails, which aired in the UK. For the next 3 years he served as Head of Alternative TV Development & Production for Muse Entertainment, USA.

Richard then founded 405 Productions Inc. He served as Co-Creator, Executive Producer and Writer on the hit CW game show and Rose D’or winner, “Oh Sit!” and Producer/Writer on “You've Been Had...Celebrity Edition!” (AMAZON).

On the scripted side, Richard is an Executive Producer on Saurus City, a stop motion animated feature film starring Dennis Quaid, Emma Roberts, Ron Perlman, Tim Meadows, and Julia Ormond. Richard is developing a series based on the bestselling YA sci-fi books, The Atlantis Grail, from award-winning author Vera Nazarian.

Previously, Richard produced the Amazon 2014, 2017, 2018 Emmy Nominated “Best Digital Drama” series, “Tainted Dreams,” produced the multi-award winning SYFY pilot, “99 Problems,” Produced “The Candle,” a multi-award-winning short horror film / proof of concept and was Show-runner/EP on “Before We Go.”

Richard graduated Arizona State University with a BS in Business. He is a member of the WGA, PGA, The TV Academy and SAG-AFTRA. He makes the best BBQ Cajun Honey Pineapple ribs, Old Fashions and Chocolate Espresso Martini’s and is a die-hard LA sports fan.

Jacqueline Carey
Author

Jacqueline Carey is the NY Times bestselling author of the critically acclaimed and award-winning Kushiel’s Legacy series of historical fantasy novels. Recent novels include the Shakespearean adaptation Miranda and Caliban, and the epic fantasy standalone Starless.

In addition to writing, Jacqueline enjoys cooking, gardening, photography, and doing research on a wide variety of arcane topics. An affinity for travel has taken her from Iceland to China to date, and she currently lives in west Michigan.

Mike Allen
Author/Editor/Publisher

Mike Allen is an author, editor and publisher of science fiction, fantasy and horror. He has written, edited, or co-edited thirty-eight books, among them his forthcoming dark fantasy novel Trail of Shadows and his new horror collection Slow Burn.

Unseaming and Aftermath of an Industrial Accident, his first two volumes of horror tales, were both finalists for the Shirley Jackson Award for Best Story Collection, and his dark fable “The Button Bin” was a nominee for the Nebula Award for Best Short Story. Another collection, The Spider Tapestries, contains experiments in weird science fiction and fantasy. His dark fantasy novel The Black Fire Concerto combines sword and sorcery with a zombie apocalypse.

As an editor and publisher, he has been nominated twice for the World Fantasy Award: first, for his anthology Clockwork Phoenix 5, the culmination of the Clockwork Phoenix series showcasing tales of beauty and strangeness that defy genre classification; and then, for Mythic Delirium, the magazine of poetry and fiction he edited for twenty years.

He’s a three-time winner of the Rhysling Award for poetry, with a winning poem, “The Strip Search,” appearing in Slow Burn. His six poetry collections include Strange Wisdoms of the Dead, a Philadelphia Inquirer Editor’s Choice selection, and Hungry Constellations, a Suzette Haden Elgin Award nominee.

With his wife, Anita, he runs Mythic Delirium Books, based in Roanoke, Virginia. Their cat Pandora assists.

Deborah J. Whitcas
Producer

Deborah J. Whitcas is a two-time Emmy winning Co-Executive Producer, Media Coach and Sports Journalist who has worked in non-fiction programming for over two decades. She began her entertainment career in-front of the camera at age twelve in her hometown of Philadelphia, PA and has since produced highly rated national/international primetime and daytime shows for ABC, CBS, FOX, MGM, CW, Universal, HGTV, WE, Style/E! Entertainment and MTV Networks. Her most recent Producing ventures have been the successful launch of the ABC primetime show “Judge Steve Harvey" and she is currently overseeing Season 2 of multiple Emmy-award-winning journalist Elizabeth Vargas’ show “iCrime.”

In addition to her TV credits, Deb is also a Media Coach. With her expert knowledge of the entertainment industry, she recently launched her own coach/consultation business “Book it: Tricks of the Trade to get on TV” where she develops clients skills to help them find their place and succeed in television.

Finally, Deb is also a freelance Sports Reporter. Her love for sports began at a very young age as her father played in the minors for the Philadelphia Phillies and was also a professional bowler. She is currently an on-camera Reporter for the ‘Los Angeles Football Network’ covering the LA Chargers, and on-camera Reporter/Content Creator with the NFL Alumni So Cal Chapter and is an on-camera Media Caster for “Pro Sports Fans”, a company owned by Sean Salisbury former NFL Quarterback and ESPN Analyst. She is also a writer for a non-profit sports news organization “The Skyboat” and provides game play-by-play voice coverage for Sportsdata as a Sports Data Journalist. Deb has held media credentials for 2023/2022 NFL Draft, NFL Super Bowls LV, LVI, LVII, 2023/2022 NFL Training Camp, 2023 National College Football Championship, 2023 Rose Bowl, 2022 MLB All-Star week, 2022 ESPY’s, 2022 USFL, 2021 NFL regular season games, and XFL 2.0.

When not on a set, coaching, in an edit bay or in a sports stadium, Deb enjoys spending time with her menagerie of rescue pets, dancing, pilates and relaxing on the beach with friends. Deb believes smiling is the key to happiness and she tries to do it as much as humanly possible!

Steven L. Sears
Screenwriter/Producer/Author

Beginning his career as an actor, Steven L. Sears moved on to be a Writer, Story Editor, Producer and Creator in Television, Film, digital media, and animation. His TV series include Hardcastle & McCormick, Stingray, Walker-Texas Ranger, Highwayman, Hollywood Detective, Grand Slam, Jesse Hawkes, Superboy, S.H.E. Spies and other Television favorites.

He produced Swamp Thing for USA, Raven for CBS, was Co-Executive Producer of Xena, co-created Sheena for Sony/TriStar Television, and has had many pilot and development deals with the major studios.

He wrote the Non-User Friendly Guide for Aspiring TV Writers, co-created the graphic novel Stalag-X with Kevin J. Anderson, and has stories in such anthologies as Jeff Sturgeon's Last Cities of Earth and Alien Vs. Predators: Ultimate Prey.

Austin Valli
Actor

Austin Valli is an actor who is originally from Alexandria, Virginia. Austin's love for entertainment led him to pursue film & broadcasting degrees from Pennsylvania State and Clemson University. Austin’s career highlights include starring as the lead in the Amazon Prime Video film "Moving Valentine," The Lifetime original "A Roommate to Die For," and the upcoming Lifetime original "Killer Influence."

Austin's special skills include more than 20 years of Baseball, Soccer, and weightlifting experience.

Julie Pifher
Writer/Producer

Julie Pifher is an award-winning filmmaker and author. She has developed and sold television series and pilots to a variety of networks; Syfy, CW, Starz, Lifetime, Discovery+ and more. Most notably, she created TLC's hit show My Giant Life which ran for three seasons, and Born Behind Bars for A&E Network.

As Vice President of Film & TV for AfterShock Comics, she adapted comic books optioned by Hulu, Legendary, Fox, and Universal. As a Head Writer for PocketFM, she writes hit audio series with millions of listens.

She’s published six books and has written multiple award-winning screenplays. She produced the Oscar-qualified animated special, The Wrong Rock, and is currently producing a virtual reality game.

Laura Faye Smith
Actor

Laura Faye Smith is a recent transplant to Los Angeles from the Pacific Northwest. Notable voice over roles include Princess Rosalina for Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. games as well as Kana (male) in the English cast of Nintendo’s Fire Emblem Fates, and Noelle for miHoyo’s Genshin Impact. She has also voiced characters in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Pagan Online, and numerous games for Mad Head Games.

She is a series regular in the audio drama The Sojourn, and has also voiced characters in "Jo-Jo’s Bizarre Adventure" and the animated series The Weather Girls. She has narrated several audio books and voiced countless commercial and industrial projects. Her theatrical career includes productions at Portland Center Stage, Coho Theatre, Portland Playhouse, Third Rail Repertory, Artists Repertory Theatre, Profile Theatre, Oregon Children’s Theatre, Gulfshore Playhouse, and the Odyssey Theatre.

Television credits include Investigation Discovery’s Betrayed, HBO’s McMillions, NBC’s Grimm, TNT’s Leverage, and INSP’s Wild West Chronicles.

Vera Nazarian
Author, Novelist

Vera Nazarian is the author of The Atlantis Grail series, historical (Renaissance) epic fantasy trilogy Cobweb Bride, and other science fiction and fantasy novels and short works.

As a double refugee, after immigrating from the USSR during the Cold War, and then escaping from the Civil War in Lebanon (by way of Greece), she spent 35 years in Los Angeles, California. She now lives with four wacky cats in a small town in Vermont and uses her Armenian sense of humor and her Russian sense of suffering to bake conflicted pirozhki and make art.
